We learned a lesson after the tri-state tornado passed:sound the sirens when a tornado approaches. We talk about tornadoes and how we can be prepared. We still get tornadoes today throughout the U.S. Since then the Government allowed scientists to do further studies on tornados. Meteorologists are allowed to forecast and tell which states are in affect of tornados. Now the National Weather Service can put warnings and watches to tell which counties are in line for severe weather and possibly tornados. The siren act is supposed to be when the sirens are sounded, people need to get to safety. The Governments response to the tornado is that we now do the siren act and to give people a chance to get to safety before a tornado strikes.
