The Tri- State Tornado

My topic is the Tri-State Tornado of 1925. The process of choosing this topic is to do research on the Tri-State Tornado, find books, government documents, or any articles on it and create a website about the Tri-State Tornado. I watched tv shows and movies about tornadoes like the film "Twister" (1996). After watching T.V. shows and movies, I realized all that storm chasing is really dangerous. When my parents asked what I wanted to be when I grow up, I said I wanted to be a meteorologist or storm chaser. I did not see anything about tornados in my previous history class, but I did see tornadoes in Science class.
My research came from this website called popular mechanics that had information that I need for my first page. The process I used had many steps that I worked with my mom since she had experience making websites. My first step is that I went on to google and found my images, sources, and use those to get to the websites. My second step is that I went to the Hullaballoo at Wilson library at the University of Minnesota and to find a government document containing information on tornados. My third step is to talk with a national history day person and to discuss about my topic and to have questions to answer about my project. Some sources that were useful were; google images for the images, frogstorm for the first image for the homepage, and popular mechanics for other information on the Tri- State Tornado. Some problems are finding the document, coming up with better sentences with each source, finding the right pictures to fit with my project,
the process paper, and the whole entire bibliography process.
I knew that it was going to be hard, but I didn't want to use my voice for a documentary and I would be nervous on-stage for a performance , so I choose a website. I choose a website because I thought it would be fun to use a topic that no one has ever heard before and people can learn about it. The steps it took to create a website were; is to do research, find images and their sources, use quotes, type some captions, come up with different names for each webpage, a process paper, and a annotated bibliography. The meaning behind the materials that I used is that each visual I used would bring me to the website so I could get more information to use for my project. The most frustrating part is finishing the 4th paragraph for my process paper.
The tri-state tornado changed meteorology because no one had any warning that a tornado was coming their way. The historical impact of the tri-state tornado was that the tri-state tornado came and it changed meteorology.
